Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Signr. They explain the rules for using our website, browser extension, and related services (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully — by using Signr, you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, installing our browser extension, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Who we are
Signr is a hiring and job-search platform (“Signr”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The Service helps job seekers and people who hire connect, evaluate fit, verify identities, and communicate. References to the Service include the Signr website, the optional Signr browser extension, and any associated features.
Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping it accurate and up to date.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Keep your password and sign-in links secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
- You may not share your account, impersonate anyone, or create an account using false information.
Using Signr
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose — finding work, hiring, and related professional activities — subject to these Terms. Features may change, and some features may be added, modified, or removed over time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or violate these Terms.
- Post or send content that is false, misleading, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
- Use the Service to spam, send unsolicited bulk messages, or run a scheme to mislead other users.
- Misrepresent your identity, experience, credentials, or affiliation, or post a job or profile that is fraudulent.
- Collect, scrape, or harvest data about other users except as the Service’s features expressly allow, or use anyone’s information for purposes they did not agree to.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access, or probe, scan, or test the security of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, introduce malware, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service except where the law expressly permits it.
- Use the Service to make unlawful employment decisions or to discriminate against protected groups.
Your content
“Your content” means the information you submit to the Service — for example, your profile, resumes, job posts, screening criteria, messages, and other materials. You keep ownership of your content.
You grant Signr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your content as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and the people you direct it to (for example, delivering a message to its recipient or showing your profile to people you choose). This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for content others have already received and copies we must keep to meet legal obligations or that remain in routine backups for a limited time.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights needed to submit it and to grant the license above. Do not submit content you are not allowed to share.
The browser extension
The Signr browser extension is optional. When installed, it operates on supported professional and job-listing sites to provide features such as the profile overlay, identity verification, and messaging. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party site you use the extension on. You can remove the extension from your browser at any time. How the extension handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party sites & services
The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party sites and services (for example, LinkedIn and job-listing sites). We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for them. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party’s terms and privacy practices.
Payments, fees & payouts
Some features may involve fees, charges, or payouts. Where they apply, the relevant price and terms will be presented to you before you incur them. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, and you authorize us and that processor to charge your selected payment method for amounts you owe. Where you are eligible to receive payouts, you are responsible for providing accurate payout details and for any taxes on amounts you receive. Except where required by law, fees already incurred are non-refundable.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the Signr name and logo, is owned by Signr or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited rights these Terms grant you, we reserve all rights. You may not use our branding without our prior written permission.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Signr is a platform that connects people; we do not guarantee any job, candidate, hire, response, or outcome, and we are not a party to any employment or contracting relationship between users. Features such as resume screening and recommendations are tools to assist your own judgment — you remain responsible for your hiring and job-search decisions and for complying with applicable employment laws. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signr and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Signr and its affiliates from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or other users. When your account ends, the rights granted to you under these Terms stop, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as content licenses already exercised, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
Changes to the service & these terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the province or territory in which Signr is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located there will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
